To my knolidge you can not post to lj from with in thunderbird. THere is no rss link, but use the following for an rss URL for a live journal.
username.livejournal.com/rss
where username is the user you want an rss feed for. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure. I've never had that problem. I'll check into it when I get a chance, which between a data structures class, and a software engineering class where the professor has a reputation for destroying students could be a very very long time.

Oh, the fond memories. At my school, Data Structures weeded out many wannabe C. S. majors. I know you'll make it!
